2. Remember that as soon as we get back we will correct our work and then have EXAMS!!!!!!
Check the SCIENCE blog to revise. It is now finished.
3. Here I am going to give you some clues about the NUMERACY TEST:

ROUNDING

  • R. to the nearest 10
  • R. to the nearest 100
  • R. to the nearest 1000                                                           Class Book pages: 3-6

DECIMALS

  • Putting decimals in order, from largest to shortest. (for example 0.6, 0.65, 0.59)
  • Finding the decimals that exist between two numbers (for example between 0.5 and 0.6)  Class Book pages: 9-10
4 OPS

Multiplying and Dividing numbers by 10, 100,1000
  • When we multiply by ten...add a zero. 23x10= 230
  • When we divide by ten...take away a zero. 3400/10= 340
  • When we multiply by a hundred...add two zeros. 560x100= 56000
  • When we divide by a hundred...take away two zeros. 57000/100=570  Class Book pages: 11-14
Doubling and Halving
  • Doubling 7, or 25, or 47, or 235
  • Halving EVEN numbers: 2, 46, 482
  • Halving small ODD numbers 7 = 3+3 and remainder 1 = 0.5 + 0.5. So, 3.5 .                                         19= 9+9 and remainder 1. So 9.5
COORDINATES
  • Plotting Coordinates in a grid.
  • Writing numbers of a position in a grid.
  • Moving (translating) a shape following instructions (for example 3 right, 2 down)  Class Book pages: 27-30
POLYGONS
  • Drawing Polygons
  • Naming Polygons
  • Counting the sides of Polygons
  • Diagonals in a Polygon  Class Book pages: 31-33
COMMON MULTIPLES
  • Finding common multiples of two numbers (for example 2 and 3)
So, 2= 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30
So, 3= 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30

Both have some numbers in common. 6,12,18,24,30

We say 6,12,18,24,30 are common multiples of 2 and 3 Class Book pages: 15-18
